Science and Math Teacher
Escola Sagrada Família Viladecans
(Barcelona, Spain)

I teach at Escola Sagrada Família in Viladecans, where I’m responsible for math in first and second years of secondary school. I also teach elective courses on math challenges and biology and geology in fourth year.

At our school, we use Math Bits in three different grade levels, and we’re planning to introduce it in the final year of secondary school starting next year.

What we value most about Math Bits eis the platform’s focus on developing key skills. The activities are based on real-life situations, which motivates students and helps them reflect more deeply on the content they’re learning. The wide variety of visual resources, simulations, and games also helps all types of students follow along, regardless of their level.

I’d also like to highlight the advantages of the 5E instructional model (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate) that underpins the materials. Before using Math Bits , I didn’t know about this model, and putting it into practice has helped my students develop their analytical and critical thinking skills.

In my opinion, Math Bits stands out for presenting content in a clear, rigorous, and engaging way. The materials make it easier for students to grasp complex concepts thanks to interactive features that encourage active participation. The platform also allows me to adjust both the pace and the resources to meet the needs of each class, making it possible to provide more personalized, effective teaching in the classroom.

Another key benefit is that Math Bits has significantly reduced my lesson planning time, thanks to its clear structure and the wide range of resources it provides. This has allowed me to spend more time focusing on my students.
